Biotechnology Research Division carries out research
projects on forest tree seeds’ germination methods, genetic diversity and
biotechnology. Division has 4 continuing and 4 finished research projects.
Seed Quality Control Activites :
Seed quality is assessed by a range of standardized tests
performed on samples taken from the seed lot. Certification of
seeds are made in accordance with The International Seed Testing Association‘s
International Rules for Seed Testing.
The measurement of seed quality by indirect (Tetrazolium Test)
and direct (germination of seeds in cabinets or Jacobsen) tests performed
in the laboratory.
Our directorate carries out seed quality measurements and
certification for seeds imported or to be used in reforestation and research
activities of governmental and private agencies.
