Regioning of The Seed Transfer of 
Oriental Spruce(Picea orientalis L.) in Turkey

     In this study, at first the ecological conditions of the pure and mixed oriental spruce (Picea orientalis)L.), which are only found in the Eastern Black Sea Region and Posof watershed basin located North East part of the Eastern Anatolian, and are common between 800 – 2400 m in the vertical direction in Turkey, were determined; and then these forests were divided into five regions named Eastern Black Sea, Şavşat-Ardanuç, Çoruh watershed basin extending between Artvin and Çamlıkaya, Middle Harşit and Posof watershed in order to determine regioning of seed transfer of the oriental spruce. On the basis of climatic, topographic and vegetation composition these regions were divided into subregions: Eastern Black Sea eight, Şavşat-Ardanuç two, Çoruh four, and Middle Harşit two, and Posof two.
